Jameson Distillery Midleton
Looking for things to do in Cork then a visit to the Jameson Distillery should be top of your list. Midleton Distillery dates back to the 1800’s where it was used to mature Paddy’s Irish Whiskey. The Jameson Distillery moved from Dublin to the Midleton in 1975 ( a year after La Trattoria Restaurant opened) where it continues to mature their whiskey today. Visitors are welcome to visit the Jameson Distillery where they will get the opportunity to visit the pot stills and view the warehouse that has been used to mature whiskey for over 2 centuries.

Midleton Farmers Market
Located in Midleton and open every Saturday, Midlton Farmers Market has become one of the most successful farmers markets in Cork. Visit and taste some fantastic food from some of the best local suppliers that Cork has to offer. Located in the carpark next to Supervalu just follow your nose as you smell the wonderful aromas of fresh pizza baked in a stone oven or artisan sausages cooked over coals. Midleton farmers market is a true gem and should not be missed. You will be glad you added this to your list of things to do in Cork.
Leahy’s Open Farm
Located just 15 minutes from Midleton Town, Leahy’s Open Farm is one of those locations on the, things to do in Cork list that is always a family favorite for young and old. Kids of all ages (including parents) will find plenty of things to do while visiting Leahy’s Open Farm, from visiting with their wide range of animals to ambling through their museum of old Irish antiques and farming equipment. Kids and adults can always be found racing against each other in their outdoor peddle cart track or feeding the animals at set times during the day. This is a great location that will leave you with fond memories and happy kids (and parents). Top tip: Don’t forget to taste their handmade ice cream made fresh on the farm using their own cows, it’s yum!
